- Human tissues that have violated donation agreements and those from non-licensed tissue banks have been included in the list of tissue prohibited from distribution and transplantation; - Tissue banks are required to verify medical and medicine administration history of tissue donors from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service. Should tissues banned from distribution and transplantation be found, they must be disposed of and reported to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety; - Specify requirements when applying for approval for change of tissue banks: Change of name, representative, location and head of a tissue bank, types of tissues handled, Last Date for Comments: 10/27/2014 (Texts provided by the World Trade Organization.)

Criteria, methods and procedures for the renewal of approval tissue banks have been defined under the Prime Minister Decree. Requirements for establishment, managing body and operation of electronic systems that house human tissue donation, management and transplantation information have been added. Tissue banks will not be required to separate and divide workplaces (sampling room, processing room, treatment room) if the collection, processing, treatment procedures of human tissues are conducted continuously, and there are sufficient contamination prevention measures in place without risks of cross-contamination. Also, non-profit corporations will be allowed to commission diagnostic tests to external organizations. This proposed revision sets to: - Newly establish identification test for 8 products (Agastachis Herba, etc); - Newly establish content standard and quantification assay for Aucklandiae Radix; - Newly establish PCR-based purity test for CynanchiWilfordii Radix; - Further clarify test methods or correct misprints and so on for 9 products (Soybean Protein Hydrolysate, etc).
