The proposed draft technical regulation establishes requirements for the placing on the Bahraini market of non-directional household lamps, including when they are marketed for non-household use or when they are integrated into other products. The requirements include efficacy, functionality, in addition to mercury limits and product information. Products not meeting these requirements will not be allowed to be placed in the Bahraini Market. Based on these requirements, incandescent lamps are to be phased out. Certain exceptions are highlighted in the regulation. Last Date for Comments: 10/06/2014 (Texts provided by the World Trade Organization.)

The proposed Technical regulation is concerned with the requirements for valves (self�closing or manually operated) used for transportable refillable liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders circulating in kingdom of Bahrain, and must fulfill the specified standards: - GSO ISO 15995:2008 Gas cylinders - Specifications and testing of LPG cylinder valves - Manually operated; - GSO ISO 14245:2008 Gas cylinders - Specifications and testing of LPG cylinder valves -Self-closing. As for the clause 4.4, from the above standards, concerning "Optional Components", only the sub clause: 4.4.1 "Pressure Relief Valve" is mandatory, and shall meet the requirements stated in the clauses: 6.1 & Last Date for Comments: 10/06/2014 (Texts provided by the World Trade Organization.)
